Larissa B McIntyre
Larissa has been a RN for 30 years and has worked across multiple sectors in clinical, research, and management roles. At present Larissa is the Palliative Care and Dementia Care Manager for a large non-for-profit aged care provider with a passion for palliative care and advanced care planning. Larissa has always strived to deliver care in a framework of safety, quality and dignity. To ensure her practice is relevant, Larissa has committed to lifelong learning and along with her undergraduate qualifications, Larissa also holds a graduate diploma in applied epidemiology and research, and masters’ degrees in public health, health administration and palliative care. In 2009 Larissa was admitted as a Fellow of the Australian College of Nursing and in 2019 commenced a Masters Nurse Practitioner and once completed aims to work in geriatric palliative care. Larissa believes it is important to contribute and to share knowledge as such Larissa participates on local and national groups related to palliative care and ageing and shares her learning's through presentations, publications and opinions on TWITTER (@Blanch68L).
